John Baldessari Anthony

John Baldessari Anthony é um americano artista conceitual conhecido por seu trabalho com fotografia encontrada e imagens apropriadas. Ele vive e trabalha em Santa Monica e Venice, Califórnia

Inicialmente, um pintor, Baldessari começou a incorporar textos e fotografia em suas telas em meados da década de 1960. Em 1970 ele começou a trabalhar em gravura, filme, vídeo, instalação, escultura e fotografia.  Ele criou milhares de obras que demonstram e, em muitos casos, combinam-o potencial narrativo de imagens eo poder associativo de linguagem dentro os limites da obra de arte.Sua arte tem sido destaque em mais de 200 exposições individuais em o EUA e Europa. Seu trabalho influenciou Cindy Sherman ,David Salle , e Barbara Kruger , entre outros.
